Voices of Gotham is open to all singers in the TTBB range interested in the barbershop style.
Since the chorus' founding in 2008, VoG has rapidly distinguished itself as one of the country's leading incubators of both new barbershop music, and of young musical artists who will shape the continuing evolution and excellence of the barbershop tradition. VoG is ranked by the BHS as one of the top ten barbershop choruses worldwide. Nashville Singers was founded in November of 2008 by a handful of men who had the desire to join their Voices with the Voices of others committed to excellence in vocal and choral performance.
The mission of Nashville Singers is to entertain, educate, unite and uplift their audiences and members through music that is distinguished for its innovation, diversity and artistic excellence.
Their philanthropic mission of Nashville Singers is to provide funding and support for music education in our schools and the community.
The singers are all volunteers, range in age from teenagers to retirees and travel from five different counties throughout Middle Tennessee to be a part of the chorus.
By the end of their sophomore year, Nashville Singers had learned 24 songs, released their first CD, performed for 15 organizations across Middle Tennessee, and produced a successful concert series which attracted attendees from 36 cities in eight states across the U... less
