Kikimasu (grades 4-6) offers a focus on thorough and excellent music education, with Singers learning about healthy vocal production, the body-voice connection, and vibrant performance presence, as well as ant emphasis on musical literacy, music theory, and sightsinging skills. As with all our ensembles, Kikimasu provides a secure and accepting social environment where all Singers feel their importance as members of the group. Our first meeting/rehearsal was in September 2013. We are directed by Maestro Manuel Jesús Sanchidrián Torti who has an excellent reputation as a choral director in Malaga. Our first concert was in Velez-Malaga in December 2013 when we were joined by a children's choir and a youth orchestra from the Conservatorio “GONZALO MARTIN TENLLADO” in Malaga, both of which are also directed by Manuel Sanchidrián . We plan further concerts and we intend to collaborate with other choirs from different areas of Spain. Our Singers represent 12 different countries and we sing in a number of languages. less

Humming And Ah-ing Machine is an innovative and fun composition by John White for unaccompanied SATB Chorus. The work is made up of short repeated phrases that evolve and entwine, creating a hypnotic and exciting overall work.
We performed this piece at a concert in St Michael's Cornhill, London, in 1983.

Our repertoire is all original, written by choir members and has emerged as a new tribal choral tradition that honors death as a natural, expected, sometimes very inspiring event in a life. While we don't require auditions, our welcome process is rigorous. This kind of singing is spiritual work and is deeply rewarding for those who are called to it.
