The Yorkshire based choir is around 40 members strong and has developed a wide repertoire from classical and folk to swing, Jazz and songs from the shows. The choir maintains a busy schedule of concerts and competitions both in Huddersfield and further a field.

The current musical director is composer and conductor Stephen Harrap. We specialise in English-language choral music, both sacred and secular. The choir performs regularly in and around Bonn and is best known for its traditional Christmas carol services and concerts. Many of our singers are school music teachers and voice teachers. We perform a wide variety of music from classical and broadway to pop and vocal Jazz. The choir was founded in 2011 by friends who have spent their lives teaching others to perform, but whom rarely get the chance to sing anymore. We are directed by Jason Krigas and accompanied by Kathryn Polyack.

Each singer in VanDeca comes from a different musical background, shaping who we are as a group. Having only been in existence since November of 2011, this group has big plans to shape the face of choral music in Vancouver, encouraging our audience to feel connected with our performances through multi-genre pieces, and using movement and amazing sound to inspire others to become involved with their local choral groups.  less
