They hit it off so well There that The ambition developed to continue togeTher in female a cappella repertoire; a relatively rare genre very dear to The hearts of all five. The top quality displayed since by Wishful Singing – both aurally and visually – makes The ensemble unique in The world. The repertoire ranges from modest works from The Renaissance and Baroque eras to swinging versions of golden oldies such as Mister Sandman. Solomons and Text by Thomas Clarke. This setting for Christmas represents The cold of a NorThern winter (The cruel wind blows) although of course The actual events took Place in raTher warmer climes. It also reflects much of The liturgical and popular symbolism of The Christmas season: robins, holly etc and it brings our thoughts towards The season of Easter with The blood of Good Friday.

(The Yetties' version of The song refers to "North Looe", but this is very unlikely to be correct, since Looe is much furTher into Cornwall).
