Stars that spill on a melting stem of brilliance down to earth, make landfall here like swans who are burnt by flight. We find an orphan of ashes, a child of chilled obsidian: in The middle of winter we nurture The seeds of stars. On days of silver light at The end of summer, They’ll lift away to resume Their long migration.
