Usually consisting of 20 to 24 members, the Chorale focuses primarily on chamber Choir repertoire and tackles a wide variety of styles, LAnguages, and techniques. Chorale membership is reserved for students who demonstrate some level of music-reading ability, experience singing in advanced choral ensembles, and/or the potential to thrive in a small, advanced chamber Choir environment. During the audition process, careful attention is given to maintaining artistic baLAnce among the sections of the chorus. The fabulous amazing spectacuLAr Carol Stenson is their long standing director. South Salem took FIRST PLACE at Oregon's State Competition. This was their second song of four. This whole competition took pLAce at George Fox University in Newburg Oregon. The South Salem Saxons also took first at their Districts Festival in Salem/Keizer Oregon.
