For many years it was led by famous Bulgarian conductor – Petja Pavlovitch. She is known in Bulgaria and abroad for her outstanding talent and professional skills.
Mixed choir "Petko Stainov" became one of the leading ensembles not only in Bulgaria. It is prizewinner of many international competitions: Aretzo,Italy - 1980 - 1th Prize; Varna, Bulgaria - 1985 - 3th prize; Ihlava, Czech - 1987 - 3th prize; Preveza, Greece - 2000 - 2nd prize and silver award; Musica Sacra - Praque,Czech - 2001 - The golden award. Choir festival – Ankara, 2003 – award for successful synchronize conductor – choir. International Choir Competition “A.Vivaldi” – Karpenissi, Greece – 2009,1st prize.
The choir consists of about 40 members that non of them is professional singer.

The Choir is the oldest College Choir in Ghana and arguably in West Africa; established in 1964. The Choir is inspired by the mission of singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs as an act of worship to the glory of God and to minister to the souls of men.
Over the years, the Choir is been noted for very inspiring and sensational concerts and oratorios that seek to fulfill the mission above. Very recent of such ministrations include; Israel in Egypt (2008 and 2010), Indulci Jubilo(2015), Handel's Chandos Anthems (2016), Singspiration (2017),and Laudate Deo (2018).
The Choir has through these platforms touched the lives of many deprived entities through her social welfare responsibilities.

Switch off from the stresses of life for a couple of hours. Firm and lasting friendships are formed. This ensemble is offered every fall and spring semester, and satisfies the fine arts requirement when enrolled for a minimum of three

The choir continues the... moreAkademski pevski zbor Tone Tomšič University of Ljubljana unites students from all departments of the University of Ljubljana, which share a Great love of singing and an unceasing wish to perform at the highest artistic level.
The choir continues the tradition of the Akademski pevski zbor v Ljubljani (Academic Choir of the University of Ljubljana) founded in 1926 by France Marolt, which consisted of male singers only. In the years between 1938 and 1940 Marolt also conducted the Female Academic choir. After the cultural silence held during the Second World War, the choir recommenced its activity, this time as a mixed choir under a new name, Akademski pevski zbor Tone Tomšič. The choir has always been led by recognized conductors such as: France Marolt, Radovan Gobec, Janez Bole, Lojze Lebič, Igor Lavrič, Marko Munih, Jože Fürst, Jernej Habjanič and Stojan Kuret. From 2002 to 2009 it was led by conductor Urša Lah. Since October 2009 it is led by conductor Sebastjan Vrhovnik.
