Au fil des années, la chorale a gagné en maturité artistique et les choristes qui rejoignaient les différents pupitres portaient désormais à leur actif des aptitudes vocales, musicales et humaines. Le répertoire chanté a également évolué vers des chants plus sophistiqués avec des polyphonies et des arrangements plus complexes mais qui gardent élégance et légèreté. Accompagnant cette évolution humaine et artistique marquant sa migration d’un chœur de jeunes à un chœur d’adultes, le Chœur des Jeunes de Casablanca a dû changer de dénomination et a adopté un nom autant fidèle à son identité qu’à sa nouvelle structure. Dès lors, le chœur des Jeunes de Casablanca devient « Chorale CASASAWT ». The choir is composed of 16-20 singers from all majors who perform a variety of music, from classical, to folk, to contemporary jazz. Members of the Wesleyan Chorale also perform in the Wesleyan Singers, an open-enrollment ensemble that performs a variety of music while developing vocal technique and musicianship skills.

The text for this work is a secular meditation on the rocks and the waves written by the composer during a weekend stay there in 1978. The music was completed in January 2000 and received a reading by the Gregg Smith Singers at the Adirondack Festival of American Music in July 2000. Named after a beautiful and rugged region in Terra Nova National Park, the choir celebrates it's 10th anniversary season in 2014-2015. This is a true community choir of more than thirty experienced singers representing the professions of music, teaching, engineering, law, civil service, marketing, information technology and journalism. Nearly one-half of the choir's singers are students from across many disciplines of study. Newman Sound has realized an ever-growing loyal audience, a high local, national and international reputation and a very bright future having established an exciting and eclectic repertoire across the genres of classical, pop and folk including some outstanding arrangements and original compositions by several of the singers within the choir.  less

Kako nažalost već drugu godinu zaredom, zbog pandemije koronavirusa, održavanje korizmenih konc...  moreGradski pjevački zbor „Neuma“ iz Drniša u svom širokom repertoaru veliku pozornost posvećuje korizmenim napjevima kojima hrvatska tradicijska baština obiluje. Kako nažalost već drugu godinu zaredom, zbog pandemije koronavirusa, održavanje korizmenih koncerata nije dozvoljeno, odlučili smo izraditi prigodni video program. Korizmeni recital „Via crucis“ sadrži pjesme snimljene u razdoblju od 2012. do 2020. godine. Snimane su na različitim lokacijama (crkva Gospe od Ružarija i crkva svetog Ante u Drnišu, Muzej za umjetnost i obrt u Zagrebu), na koncertima, ali i na zborskim probama u Srednjoj školi Ivana Meštrovića u Drnišu. Najveći dio pjesama je snimljen u crkvi Gospe od Ružarija u Drnišu. Unutrašnjost crkve vidljiva je u kadrovima koji prate pjesmu „Tužno plače“ te ulomke iz korizmenog napjeva „Puna tuge, Majka staše“. Ulomci napjeva „Puna tuge, Majka staše“ snimljeni su u varijanti koja se izvodi u Drnišu u sklopu pobožnosti Križnog puta. Pjesmu „Narode moj ljubljeni“ (trad. Lađevac), uz Neumu pjevaju ...    less
