During choir recruiting there was no audition, skills assessme...  moreThe Antidotum choir from Kielce, Poland, is a group of friends who love to sing and dared to reach for a dream and in 2009 created a choir as a remedy – hence Antidote- for everyday duties. During choir recruiting there was no audition, skills assessment or notes reading required. Positive energy and desire to sing was all that mattered. Conductor Ewa Robak, PhD agreed to lead this unusually formed group. Her professionalism helped overcome doubts and proved that amateur singing can astonish both performers and their listeners. This exciting and full of surprises adventure continues today with well-received concerts, charity performances and Piesniobrania – sing-alongs with city residents joining Antidotum in squares and concert halls. The Choir’s repertoire includes Choral classics, adapted folk songs, unconventional arrangements of contemporary pop songs, as well as patriotic and religious pieces. Its creative efforts and dynamic development in 1999 permitted the choir under the sponsorship of t...  moreThe POKROFF (translation: Protection of the Virgin Mary) Chamber Choir was set up in 1993 by its director and trumpeter Andrey Goryachev as a church choir. Its creative efforts and dynamic development in 1999 permitted the choir under the sponsorship of the Voice of Russia Radio Company to record its first CD – “Divinity in Sound”. Two more CDs were recorded in 2003 and 2005, devoted to Christmas and Easter. Since 2000 the choir began touring not only in Russia but also abroad, visiting Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Italy, Ukraine, Moldavia, Croatia, Montenegro, BiH and Estonia. The choir also took part in television shows in Russia and abroad, such as in the “Bregenzer Advent” in 2002. Apart from regular concerts and recordings, the choir also minds it spiritual roots, regularly taking part in church services, both routine and special ceremonial, such as Episcopal services at which it frequently performs. We also undertake occasional Cathedral visits throughout the year. As you'd expect, there's a lot of focus on the music of the English Choral Tradition, but we also explore European and American repertoire too.

Zur Zeit bestehen die ChorKIDS ILLERTISSEN aus 56 Sängerinnen und Sänge...  moreBei den ChorKIDS ILLERTISSEN handelt es sich um einen Kinder- und JugendChor des Gymnasiums Illertissen, der seit September 2001 besteht und einen AuswahlChor dieser Schule darstellt. Zur Zeit bestehen die ChorKIDS ILLERTISSEN aus 56 Sängerinnen und Sängern im Alter von 11 bis 16 Jahren. Mit viel Freude und Engagement proben diese Kinder bzw. Jugendlichen einmal in der Woche je nach Stimmgruppe zwei bis vier Stunden. Fünfmal im Jahr gibt es Intensiv-Probensamstage und einmal im Jahr Intensiv-Probentage im Allgäu. der Chor hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, anspruchsvolle Chorliteratur verschiedener Stilepochen zu interpretieren. Dabei möchte er sich bewusst von vielen Klischees wenig kultivierten, schulChormäßigen Singens distanzieren und ist bei der Programmgestaltung darauf bedacht, dies auch nach außen hin sichtbar und hörbar zu machen. „Popularmusik“ ist Bestandteil, jedoch auf keinen Fall substanzieller Grundsatz der musikalischen Arbeit.
