Founded in 1985, the Chandos Chamber Choir is an auditioned amateur choir of approximately 30 voices. The choir performs about three times a year both within London and further afield.  

The Men of Music (MOM) Chorus consists of men from the Midland, Michigan area who like to sing. It was founded in 1936 as the Dow Male Chorus with membership from the men of the Dow Chemical Company. It was founded in 1936 as the Dow Male Chorus with membership from the men of the Dow Chemical Company. In 1961, Dow discontinued its Music Department and the Chorus became the Men of Music and along with the rest of the Dow Music Department formed The Music Society under director Ted Vosburgh. Since then there were several women directors who continued to lead the Chorus. The Men of Music continues today providing excellant men's four part harmony with our present very talented director, Grace Marra, who joined the Chorus in 1994. We also appreciate the talents of Laurie Habedank who serves as our accompanist.  less

The choir´s repertoire consists of a cappella works from a wide range of national styles and periods, as well as larger works for choir and orchestra. The choir has won several of Europe´s most important competitions including the European Grand Prize for choral music. Together these w...  moreIn English- Chamber Choir Cantinovum (established in 1989) is the youthful and ambitious choir of the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences (JAMK) directed by Rita Varonen. Their name originates from the Latin words canti and novum. Together these words become the identity of the choir and mean 'new song'. At present, there are approximately 30 singers in the choir for whom music is a passionate interest – for many it is also a future profession. Many of the singers, either study or work at the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences or the University of Jyväskylä. The repertoire of Cantinovum is colorful and varied. It spans from folk music to sacred music and from Renaissance to modern composers. It is very characteristic of Cantinovum to perform songs that have been specially composed for them. They have had the honour of premiering more than a dozen compositions both nationally and internationally.
