These singers also perform as soloists. The group would like to promote their vast repertoire of singing ‘a cappella’ (without instruments) pieces from 16th to 21st century and their different styles. As well as being accompanied by orchestral ensembles, the choir often work with notable composers (Lucian Tuguy, Thibault Maillé, Jean-Christophe Marti…) who help to create the musical pieces. Ranging from traditional concerts to original and artistic experiences, the choir is always seeking to give value to all of the creative initiatives. Richly themed programs celebrate the elegant beauty of Renaissance motets, tonal color of modern works, and exotic flavor of music from other cultures. VAE relies exclusively on donations at concerts to defray costs.
