Performing a repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to unique jazz and pop arrangements, the group has been praised for stunning performance, exquisite singing and creating a sound that spans the entire range of vocal colour. Founded in 2003 by ex-choristers of Westminster Abbey, VOCES8 first achieved success in 2005, winning first prize at the International Choral Grand Prix in Gorizia, Italy. Subsequently the group has performed widely in the UK, Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia. VOCES8’s career has developed both in the classical choral scene and the world of a cappella. However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a significant Mass, which is sung by the choir in the Aghias Triados church of thessaloniki. From 1969 till now, the Choir continues its work successfully having as its director his elder brother Vassilis Papakonstantinou, with whom it has given many concerts in more than fifty cities in Greece and aboard, as well. It has visited Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerlandn, Hungary, Czech, Bulgaria, France etc. It has won first prices and gold metals in choir competitions. One of the most important parts of Aghias Triados Children's Choir's history is its participation with European Union Youth Orchestra and Vienna's Youth Choir, to the performance (Athens, 1985) of the third Symphony of Leonard Bernstein under the direction of the composer.  less

On its first attempt at competitions in 2007, the group won Second Runner-Up in the prestigious PAGCOR Chorale Festival and was chosen as one of the top five winners in the Paskong Himig sa Lungsod ng PASIG Chorale Competition. In December 2007, the Ars Cantica Ensemble was featured at the Opening Ceremonies of the Amazing European Union Christmas held at the Podium, Ortigas and was one of the choirs invited to grace the Sing For Me Project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. In February 2010, Ars Cantica Ensemble emerged as one of the winners in Sa ‘Yo Lamang Chorale Fest, a choral competition sponsored by ABS-CBN and Star Records.
