World-class, professional Canadian soloists enjoy performing with with the choir Time and again.
Each season, the choir presents four or five cOncerts, incorporating a blend of repertoire from gospel to sacred to pop to oratorio. Classical highlights include St. Matthew Passion, Elijah, the annual Messiah, Carmina Burana, and Bach's B Minor Mass, which was a crowning achievement for the choir’s 10th and 20th anniversaries. Other popular cOncerts have featured the musical and comedic talents of Natalie Choquette, the famous and charismatic Michael Burgess, and the stirring sounds of spirituals under the direction of Brainerd Blyden-Taylor, whose own professional chamber choir, the Nathaniel Dett Chorale, headed for Washington to join the celebrations around President Obama’s inauguration. ink" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

Turn up the fire! We are going to eat tchaka!
Turn up the fire, stir up the corn, don’t forget the salt pork,
We are going to eat a delicious tchaka.
We are going to cook up a mind-blowing stew.
At the sound of the three drums, everyone yells out hurray.
If we join together we can all move forward.
Let us enmesh in lovely harmony
A delicious homemade stew, a musical tchaka.
It’s a delicious homemade stew, a national tchaka,
A delicious homemade stew…
Turn up the fire! Turn up the fire!
*Yanvalou, Kontredans, Rabòday are amazing.
Roots music, oh yes, that’s good stuff.
Let’s stick together; side by side we can move forward.
Turn up the fire! Turn up the fire! the tchaka is cooking!

Drowning
Surrounded by a sea of skyscrapers
the numbers are my frowning
Time takes away my breath
Every minute I am drowning
the view from up here is gorgeous
But I cannot see any beauty
All I see is an ocean of illusions
in which greed makes life draggy
Few people can realize
That a smile is nothing more than teeth
A hand-shake is nothing more than skin
And on this ocean of illusions we keep going
Because we need to feed our fears
And give birth to more problems
That should not exist.
I wish I could be stronger
I wish I could be brave
I wish I could have wings to fly away
But I am just a fish
Swimming to survive
Waiting for the moment to die. ink" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

A remarkable feature of the group is their willingness to innovate within the choral music.
their versatility and the variety of repertoire they face can be seen in the different projects they have taken part in: short operas, official or private events, festivals, and monographic cOncerts on different subjects. A few instances of the choir’s late activity are the following:
