The group is formerly known as Chorus Leviticus, from the word "Frisco" it means San Francisco Del Monte, it is a small town founded by our patron San Pedro Bautista during 1590, the group is comprised of mostly students, out of school youth, young professionals and music enthusiast from the Parish Youth and Music Ministry of Archdiocesan Shrine of Santuario De San Pedro Bautista in Quezon City,which is also known as one of the oldest church in the Philippines and the provincial house of the Franciscans. As our patron saint San Pedro Bautista, a Franciscan missionary, a saint who lived in our community, and who was the first missionary to teach liturgical music to local children and organized church choirs in the Philippines. Chris explains the background of ‘Though We Lie Underground’ for us: I first came across the stories surrounding the curious tradition of West Country miners singing carols underground when listening to a recording of Alan Lomax’s extraordinary live BBC 1957 broadcast “Sing Christmas and the Turn of the Year”, a feat of radio genius involving hundreds of performers and groups all over the country, seamlessly brought together for one scintillating hour.
