Its mission is to enrich, inspire, motivate and engage the children, not only of the church, but the entire Barracks community in sacred songs among other value oriented musical works which have positive, uplifting and inspirational messages. It's the group's vision to inspire a life-Long love for good music and church leadership in the young singers through the pursuit and enjoyment of musical and other artistic excellence. Children from ages 6 to 18 residing in Accra with consent from guardians are given the opportunity to join through auditioning. Its membership currently stands at 65. The choir sings during communion and lead congregational singing during Sunday School anniversary. The success of this project led to a charity perfo...  morePatrick McCarthy founded the Colchester Bach Choir in November 1992 when he agreed to train a choir to perform a baroque programme with Frederick Marshall and the Lavenham Sinfonia in Long Melford Church. The success of this project led to a charity performance of Messiah co-directed by Patrick and Peter Holman at the Swinburne Hall, Colchester Institute, which was part broadcast by Classic FM. Since then the choir has presented three or four concerts each Season in Colchester (usually at St. Botolph's Church), often featuring baroque music.
