An ensemble of nearly 100 auditioned singers from around the tri-state area, NJCS performs under the baton of dynamic Artistic Director and Conductor, Eric Dale Knapp, accompanied by Linda Sweetman-Waters. The New Jersey Choral Society’s repertoire is among the most diverse in the area, each season providing exciting musical opportunities and experiences for both singer and audience member. The NJCS season consists of December holiday concerts, Pops concerts in March, featuring music from Broadway, American standards and jazz, and late spring concerts of major Choral masterpieces and classical selections. This 65 to 70 member, mixed-voice ensemble sings for services in Christ Chapel, for Christmas in Christ Chapel, an annual spring tour, and at special College events. Major city tour destinations have included San Antonio, St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago, Milwaukee, Lincoln, and Omaha. Membership is by audition. Conducted by Bradon Dean.

The choir itself is composed of students, staff, faculty, and members of the Twin Cities community. Over the years, the choir’s repertoire has included performances of: Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb, The Requiems of Brahms and Mozart, Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, and others. Auditions held every August and January.

Walton & Oatlands Choral Society is a friendly group of mixed voices (SATB), numbering about 30 singers, under the control of our Musical Director Sarah Burston. We rehearse Tuesday evenings 8pm at Walton Methodist Church. New Members Welcome.
