Composed of twenty young singers, the Choir is involved in an innovative thinking artistic project. The New Baroque Times Voices is characterized by the eclecticism of its artistic choices with a repertoire going from Renaissance to the most complex creations of contemporary music. (And if they are observed by the conductor when arriving to the churc and choose NOT to join, they are very kindly told to do so! This caused a special occasion in this concert: a mother and a daughter singing in the same Choir! :-)) This year our guest conductor Inger Lise Hope, also a former member, took on the job at short notice because of illness. We are a mixed voice Choir singing a variety of musical styles including classical, pop, musicals, sacred and Scottish songs. Members' ages range from teenagers to octogenarians. To date we have recorded over 30 albums and raised over £1.5 million for charity.
