Through the performance of choral music dating from the Renaissance to the contemporary, Concinnity is dedicated to illuminating the breadth of choral repertoire, including works by historically excluded and living composers, to connect with all in the community. Concinnity focuses on individual expression within a unity of sound to create a harmonious, artful landscape of voices.

On its first attempt at ... moreFormally organized in August 2006, the Ars Cantica Ensemble is a choral group composed of young professionals from different University Choirs who want to spread the Word of God through musical talent and commitment to service.
On its first attempt at competitions in 2007, the group won Second Runner-Up in the prestigious PAGCOR Chorale Festival and was chosen as one of the top five winners in the Paskong Himig sa Lungsod ng PASIG Chorale Competition.
In December 2007, the Ars Cantica Ensemble was featured at the Opening Ceremonies of the Amazing European Union Christmas held at The Podium, Ortigas and was one of the Choirs invited to grace the Sing For Me Project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
In February 2010, Ars Cantica Ensemble emerged as one of the winners in Sa ‘Yo Lamang Chorale Fest, a choral competition sponsored by ABS-CBN and Star Records. Les reflets sur les étendues d'eau m'ont toujours fasciné par leur façon de mettre en vibration le réel avec des variations infinies, c'est ainsi que, sur une idée de Cécile Rigazio qui est l'auteure du texte, la partition a été conçue graphiquement (et musicalement!) sur le principe du miroir en hommage à l'Ensemble qui a choisi ce nom: "miroir que sais-tu de la beauté?" en écho à de célèbres exemples littéraires...

Da tempo impegnato in attività concertistica e nello studio del repertorio corale sacro e profano a cappella e concertato, è stato invitato a numerosi Festival e Rassegne Nazionali ed Internazionali, con grandi riscontri di critica e pubblico. Dal 2015, ha realizzato, con l’Orchestra barocca S. Teresa dei Maschi, prime esecuzioni in puglia di grandi opere barocche storiche: Bach Johannes Passion, Oratori di Pasqua e Natale; Monteverdi Vespro della Beata Vergine. Importante l’impegno nella ricerca ed esecuzione di musica di autori pugliesi inedita: Fago Salmi e Magnificat; Nenna, Felis, Radesca villanelle e madrigali; Cafaro Responsori. Dallo stesso anno è nata la collaborazione con l’Etichetta discografica Toccata Classics di Londra per la registrazione di una collana di produzioni dedicate agli autori pugliesi.

All members ... moreInitially formed as part of a school-outreach program with the Quintessential Vocal Ensemble (QVE) in Newfoundland in 2009, Afterglow developed a love of 6-part a cappella music and began searching for new and challenging musical experiences. All members of QVE, the singers range in disciplines from Music to Engineering to the Arts.
Afterglow performs frequently throughout St. John’s, including being featured guests on CBC Radio, local television, Festival 500, as well as community concerts and fundraisers. The group writes their own arrangements and began presenting full concerts last spring.
Afterglow was one of 11 groups selected world-wide to partake in the Small Vocal Ensembles component of international biennial Festival 500 in July 2011. This will include masterclasses and individual coaching sessions with Bob Chilcott and Finnish group, Rajaton. As a result of their acceptance, the group was awarded a substantial Professional Project Grant from the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council. Afterglow ... less
