We may be studying physics, philosophy or French in our off hours, yet once we don the Blue Blazer our voices and hearts are unified in singing about all that is good in the world. Reverent to rambunctious, Hebrew to Hindi, our brotherhood would like to share it all with you.

It offers an opportunity to hear the very best in a long tradition of Welsh male voice singing. Cantorion was founded by Colin Jones in 1992 when he invited singers, who he knew and had taught and conducted previously in other choirs across North Wales, to join his new chorus. Since Colin and John Daniel's retirement, Aled Wyn Edwards has been able to match their skills in voice production and choral management with the enthusiasm and commitment of some of North Wales finest male choral singers and soloists and during the last 12 months has established a male chorus with a special sound and quality now recognised after its numerous tours and performances in many countries, worldwide.  less

We will be presenting the bulk of our projected album at our spring concerts on May 18th and 19th. Matthew Harris's highly popular choral works hAve been commissioned or premiered by leading choruses such as the Dale Warland Singers, Phoenix Bach choir, Los Angeles Chamber Singers, Western Wind, and Cantori New York, and sung by countless school and community choirs across America. His A Child's Christmas in Wales, a cantata for chorus and orchestra commissioned by Harmonium, is performed throughout the US and the UK. Mr. Harris studied at The Juilliard School, New England Conservatory and Harvard University. He has taught at fordham University and Kingsborough College (CUNY) and in 1988 founded Harris Musiciology. He lives and works in New York City. G. Schirmer and C. F. Peters publish his music, and Chandos, Albany, Cedille and CRI Records represent him on disc.  less
