Kaohsiung Chamber Choir (KCC) is one of the most prosperous ensembles in southern Taiwan. Founded by a group of choral music lovers in 2002, KCC has leaded the choral music community to an unceasingly advancement in southern Taiwan. KCC performs a vast se... moreKaohsiung Chamber Choir (KCC) is one of the most prosperous ensembles in southern Taiwan. Founded by a group of choral music lovers in 2002, KCC has leaded the choral music community to an unceasingly advancement in southern Taiwan. KCC performs a vast selection of local and international repertoires, female or male choral work, a cappella pieces, contemporary Chamber Choir music, and newly commissioned compositions in its semi annual concerts and other occasions. KCC’s active presence on stages has brought several acclaimed rewards from private and public offices.
Under the leadership of the current Artistic Director, Dr. Chia-fen Weng, KCC launched the Elite Workshop to further expand the Choir’s caliber in 2007. This program recruited a few young talented singers to act as voice teachers in the Choir, such as Hua-chen Liang, Je-jium Chan and Ying-jen Yao, and offers music theory, body movement and dancing lessons to its members as part of this Elite Workshop program.

The Mon Yough Chorale is a non-sectarian group of singers. We perform for many organizations in and around the Western Pennsylvania area. Anyone wishing to sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal prior to committing to the group. No auditions a... moreThe Mon Yough Chorale is a non-sectarian group of singers. We perform for many organizations in and around the Western Pennsylvania area. Anyone wishing to sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal prior to committing to the group. No auditions are necessary.
We also sing in a yearly competition called Saengerfest held in June each year. Members chorus' are: Altoona, Williamsport, Reading, Lebanon and Mon Yough. Each chorus hosts the competition on a rotating basis.
Rehearsals are held each Sunday at Sampsons MIlls Presbyterian Church at 1665 Lincoln Way in White Oak, PA 15131 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The Mon Yough Chorale was formerly known as the Mon Yough Community Singers. The Mon Yough Chorale has a long history in the Mon Valley. The organization started as The McKeesport Choraliers in 1962 merging with the White Oak Community Singers in 2001 becoming the Mon Yough Community Singers.
In 2015, the group decided it was time for change and reorganized under the new name - Mon Yough Chorale. The ... less
