Victor Hugo's heart-wrenching 1847 poem describes a walk he plans to take tomorrow morning ("Demain, dès l'aube") through the countryside to his daughter Léopoldine's grave four years after her tragic death in a boating accident, which also took the life of her husband Charles who had tried to save her. In February, COVID caused some concern in America as people were being warned of the implications the virus could bring when it came from overseas. By March, our government told us we needed to stay home as the virus was deadly to all age groups and almost impossible to avoid. Most necessities, like toilet paper and cleaning products, were gone from the shelves of all stores making people worry how fighting this treat would be possible. Throughout the country, several people offered to help neighbors, friends, and family as they self-quarantined and socially distanced from each, as we were told it was our best defense against the upcoming pandemic. The choir is in residence at the prestigious Théâtre du Châtelet right in the heart of Paris France. Directed by the American Choral Conductor Scott Alan Prouty, they give concerts throughout France, and have often been used as the model choir for schools throughout France. The choir is known for the variety of it's repertoire going from classical music to french songs to Broadway show numbers.
