Although the Choir originated and is based in Preston, Lancashire, members come from all over the North West. Individual Choir members are involved in a wide range of local Community projects and often call upon the whole Choir to help drive fundraising events across the region. One Voice Community Choir celebrates diversity and continually sources new material from its multi-cultural roots. The inspired leadership of Musical Director Tyndale Thomas MBE, combined with 14 years of performance experience has produced a stunning sound and versatile choral ensemble. Its repertoire includes choral music from the Middle Ages to the 21st century, works by contemporary Greek composers, traditional songs, spirituals, etc. It has given numerous concerts in Greece, Germany, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Norway, Switzerland, Hungary, Cyprus, Turkey, and Serbia. Since 2023, the Choir has been organizing annually the “Arta Sacred Music Festival” which takes places in Byzantine churches of Arta. Since November 2021, the Choir has been conducted by Antonis Ververis.  less

Our aim is to build Community through gospel music and so we emphasise the fact that we are a Choir for anyone to join, no auditions and nor previous experience is required. The group named DEKOR Chamber Choir is composed of experienced choral singers from various parts of Slovenia, who in the past used to sing in renowned Slovene and some foreign vocal ensembles. Driven by the desire of thorough preparation of quality choral projects, the Choir works under the leadership of Slovene and foreign guest conductors. The Choir prepared their inaugural concert, entitled In the Beginning, in cooperation with young Finnish conductor Dani Juris The topic of creation coincided not only with the central composition of the concert, Copland’s In the Beginning, but also with the Choir’s first public appearance and presentation of the concept of their work. Among the carefully selected works by Slovene and other authors, three were performed in Slovenia for the first time: Aaron Copland’s In the Beginning, Cyrillus Kreek’s Onnis on inimene (Blessed be the Man) and Ole Gjeilo’s Unicornis captivatur (Captured Unicorn).
