We are resident at St. Matthew's parish church in Chapel Allerton. We rehearsal three times a month, on a Friday evening and sing four services a month, including Evensong on the first Sunday of every month. We also often host come and sing days and various workshops, our two most recent projects have been on Buxtehude's Membra Jesu Nostri and Mozart's Requiem. Belle Canto was the first choir formed in the Cantilon family and remains its only adult ensemble. In touring and recording, Belle Canto has distinguished itself as one of today’s foremost women’s ensembles. Originally a group of university students, the choir now consists of amateur singers from all walks of life. Belle Canto particularly enjoys exploring the contemporary repertoire of Eastern Europe and Scandinavia and has recorded much of this repertoire on their disc, Invocation.  less
