It is formed by children and young people from 6 to 25 years old, who are distributed in three groups. their activities are set out for the development of sensibility, intelligence, memory, attention, and, at the same time, contribute to achieve the feeling of working together and mutual help and the sincerity of companionship. Likewise, they begin to know the art and culture world by the music, not only polyphonie music, but also popular and modern music. During their trajectory, the choir has offered several concerts, has participated in competitions and festivals and has done tours abroad: France, Italy, Luxemburg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia... the choir is member of the European federation of Youth Choirs. Following on from the formation of a Birralee Tenth Anniversary Alumni Choir in 2005, Resonance of Birralee was formed under the leadership of Paul Holley. the young people involved represent a variety of professions and a significant number are tertiary students. they share a common love of singing and in many cases are accomplished musicians. One of their strengths as an ensemble is their expertise and appreciation of a broad range of music styles and their ability to adapt their programme to suit any event. At present the choir has 34 members. the group’s repertoire is very eclectic: from spirituals to sacred polyphony, from pop music to regional and international folk songs. the ensemble has performed in many beautiful churches and other landmarks in Rome and in Central Italy, with concerts in the most important concert halls in the capital city and festivals in many wonderful villas and palaces scattered around the countryside near Rome. In 2007 and 2009 the choir participated with great enthusiasm in the International Choir Festival in Val Pusteria.
