2. Away in a manger (words anon, set to a traditional Normandy tune arranged by Reginald Jacques)
These carols were recorded on Sunday 13th December 2009 during the first of St Peter's Singers' two now-traditional annual performances to guests at the Espresso Bar of Harvey Nichols' Leeds store in the Victoria Quarter.
The choir is directed on this occasion by its regular accompanist David Houlder, Sub-Organist of Leeds Parish Church. The Music Director of St Peter's Singers is Dr Simon Lindley, Organist of Leeds Parish Church and Leeds City Organist, who has held this post since the choir's formation in 1977.
More information about St Peter's Singers, including details of forthcoming concerts, recitals and church services, may be found on the choir's website www.stpeters-singers.org.uk or on the Facebook group 'St Peter's Singers of Leeds'. arent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

The group gives women from 16 to 70+ the opportunity to share the joy and proven health benefits of singing with like-minded people in a fun and creative environment.
Weekly sessions, under the instruction of a highly enthusiastic and experienced Natural Voice Practitioner and registered British Voice Association teacher, will provide opportunities for you to sing in harmony, discover new techniques and to improve your musicality, understanding and appreciation of music. With your newly found confidence you will tackle more complicated and chAllenging musical arrangements and enjoy hearing the finished result – just for pleasure!
Whilst we “work” hard these sessions are enjoyable social events. There is discipline and structure but also fun, laughter and a strong sense of teamwork as we rehearse songs from a variety of genres, performing new musical arrangements to suit a variety of tastes. No previous experience is required but enthusiasm is a must.

Dealing with Disappointment

We are students. We are friends. We All study at Stellenbosch University and believe in the power of music to uplift, entertain and educate. We aim to share our voices and talent with All who will listen!
Any person acquainted with student culture understands the important role of music and singing in the life of a young person. Acastella is a platform for young adults studying at Stellenbosch University to practice their love of singing.
Unfortunately the members got spread across the vast world and thus decided to stop Acastella at the end of 2013. arent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less
