The co...  moreWeaving a spell - Incantation for Pamela - magic for a while... This song can be understood on two levels. At first sight it is a Simple sentimental piece, but beneath it lies a history of pure imagination, enchantment and impossibility. The composer already realises he is no longer feeling what he is writing, he is just weaving a spell, over an ostinato guitar motif, to try to bring the feelings back (hence the title "Incantation"). He has found in his life that whenever he writes a song for the object of his desire, he has already begun to stop feeling that desire ... it is a sign that the relationship is about to change or disappear. But the whole thing is indeed enchantment and magic: you can dream and you can take the song at face value if you wish.  less

Sin...  moreWhen Fred Reinagel founded The Vail Chorale in 2011, his goal was Simple: to create a non-auditioned community chorus that would provide an opportunity for choral music-making on Tucson’s east side, welcoming singers of all ages and musical skills. Since its inception, The Vail Chorale has been entertaining local audiences with Fall and Spring concerts that feature musical styles for every taste. Performances have taken place at various locations including Empire and Cienega High Schools, the Arizona Senior Academy, and the Del Webb Lodge at Rancho del Lago. Chorale members have included high school students as well as adults of all ages, who have found that the intergenerational experience has added to the fun of singing together. Concert attendees have remarked at the obvious enjoyment and enthusiasm that comes across to the audience. The Vail Chorale is directed by Fred Reinagel, the Chorale’s founder. Using the Simple view that a good song is a good song, has meant that they bring together a collection of pieces that appeal to a wide audience. Using the Simple view that a good song is a good song, has meant that they bring together a collection of pieces that appeal to a wide audience. The choir delights in introducing new songs that are connected by their unique choral sound, rather than from a particular genre and it is this wide appeal and their sense of fun that has meant the group is in constant demand and continually attracts new members. Even in its early days the choir never quite conformed to the accepted norms of what should be included in their repertoire. However, this in no way hindered its appeal and it went on to win a number and prestigious competitions including one of the largest Eisteddfods for male choirs in Wales, an award for services to the arts from Chelmsford City Council and passed the advanced choral singing examination of The Associated Board of the Royal College of Music Successive musical directors contributed the choir`s ...    less
