In Flanders Fields by John McCrae
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Michael Grebla (YouTube: GreblaMusic) provided this audio-visual recording.
The Giovanni Consort is based in Perth, Western Australia, and is one of the city's most accomplished chamber choirs. The Consort is comprised of a group of 12 core singers each of whom are experienced musicians, with many having studied (or currently studying) music at university and several others singing professionally around Perth. In addition to presenting stunning performances of sacred and secular choral music from the Renaissance right through to the present day, the Consort also acts as a training ground for aspiring conductors, composers and profes... less
