Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining Music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the Music closer to the people and to present the Music on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. All choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival. The choir’s repertoire of sacred Music ranges from the 16th to the 21st centuries, including a recently commissioned and premièred work by Roxanna Panufnik. The choir sings to a cathedral standard every week at the Sung Eucharist on Sunday and Choral evensong every fourth Sunday. It also sings at special services during the year and goes on tour each summer. Recent tours have been to Bordeaux (2014). Dordodgne/Aquitaine (2013), and Rome (2011, 2012).  less

Au fil des années, la chorale a gagné en maturité artistique et les choristes qui rejoignaient les différents pupitres portaient désormais à leur actif des aptitudes vocales, Musicales et humaines. Le répertoire chanté a également évolué vers des chants plus sophistiqués avec des polyphonies et des arrangements plus complexes mais qui gardent élégance et légèreté. Accompagnant cette évolution humaine et artistique marquant sa migration d’un chœur de jeunes à un chœur d’adultes, le Chœur des Jeunes de Casablanca a dû changer de dénomination et a adopté un nom autant fidèle à son identité qu’à sa nouvelle structure.
