We rehearsed for most of the day in two-Choir sections, with our four choral directors, Scott Inglis-Kidger, Sarah Tenant-Flowers, Riccardo Bonci and Jonny Davies. After lunch we began to put the sections together. At 4pm we brought all 8 Choirs together and Scott Inglis-Kidger led a most thrilling final performance.
The day marked the end of the 2012 workshops but fear not, our 2013 Choral Workshops series - Perfect Playlist - is now live on our website. platinumconsort.com/perfect-playlist.html We look forward to seeing you soon!

An artist who stops creating ceases to be an artist. Academic Choir of Gdańsk University of Technology, the oldest artistic student organization at the Gdańsk University of Technology, despite current situation, has not ceased its activity. We organise ourselves, work and create. This is the first "product" of our Virtual work.
We did it for yourselves to give you a little respite, joy, smile, hope and faith in a better future. Thanks to the fact that we have a share in culture - as creators and recipients - it is easier to live, it is easier to face everyday challenges.
Music has great power. Music reaches our senses. We become better people thanks to music.
-- Conductor, Mariusz Mróz
The accompaniment to the song was played on a digital piano by Ewa Mróz, while the part of the oboe was performed by Karolina Kacprzycka. less

So all of the quartets from my various videos decided to get together and try something new: choral music! So they grabbed a few friends and went to it :)
No, but seriously.... Eric Whitacre is a genius, and this song is beautiful.
I would love you forever if you shared this with your friends/family/people you know/people you don't know/people you hate... you get the point... just show everybody :)
You can click on almost any of the quartets (near the beginning of the video) and it'll link you to the video that the quartet was in
I love feedback almost as much as i love new subscribers, let me know if you want me to do more choral videos or if I should stick to barbershop (remember this is my first choral, so they would get better)
as always there is no autotune

The score blossomed during a fellowship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, a pastoral setting that nurtured embracing the poem’s vivid landscape. The piano provides a repeating foundation over which the Choir playfully evokes the spare text, using variations of the initial theme throughout. There is a contemplative moment midway, then the pulse resumes, concluding with a gleeful repetition of the last line.
"The Red Wheelbarrow is a wonderfully approachable and fun piece of music. The singers of Inversion had a blast working through the rhythmic lilt and subtly beautiful harmonies, so often found in Rich Campbell's music. The clever musical interpretation brought out the wry humor of the text." Trevor Shaw, Inversion Ensemble AD less
