This particular setting was composed with a small mixed-ability Choir in mind, so the Voices are mainly in two parts (men's and women's Voices), splitting to four parts (SATB) occasionally, where the words suggest it. The musical style is reminiscent of the 19th century although the piano part does go into 20th century style syncopation at times.

The words are my own and tell of children playing their games in the dusty streets (ie of Bethlehem) unaware that a miracle has happened and asking them to look up to the angels and join their singing. The performance here is by the Composer's Choir conducted by Daniel Shaw.  

The Shrewsbury Chorale is a mixed Choir of approximately 50 auditioned Voices, which presents three formal concerts per season. Most repertoire is classical in nature.
