Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining Music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the Music closer to the people and to present the Music on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. All Choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival.  less

Mandskoret of 1914 are a group of adult, personable men who like to sing, from the experienced to the new singers. Mandskoret av 1914 Mandskoret er en usedvanlig sprek 100 åring, og er Haugesund eldste mannskor. I Mandskoret av 1914 er vi en gjeng med voksne, omgjengelige menn som liker å synge – fra de rutinerte, til helt nye sangere. 
 Mannskor mer enn bare sang Det handler om opplevelser knyttet til deltakelse, måten vi tar vare på hverandre og den spesielle sosiale aktiviteten. Mannskor favner mer om kvaliteten i musikkaktiviteten, enn kanskje den musikalske kvaliteten. Mannskor er også en viktig bærer av solide tradisjoner i vårt samfunn. The Drake Choir is Drake University’s select touring ensemble, performing regionally on an annual basis and internationally every four years, most recently in May 2012. It has appeared in major venues in Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Wales...  moreThe Drake Choir is Drake University’s select touring ensemble, performing regionally on an annual basis and internationally every four years, most recently in May 2012. It has appeared in major venues in Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Wales, and Ireland. The ensemble regularly collaborates with the Des Moines Symphony and sang the Beethoven Ninth Symphony with that orchestra in September 2011. The Drake Choir has performed in Carnegie Hall and has been featured on the conference program of the American Choral Directors Association North Central Division. The ensemble consists of 64-70 singers who are first-year students through seniors and who represent every College of the University. Auditions for returning students take place in April and for new students during the weekend preceding the start of the fall semester. The ensemble rehearses Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 3:30-5:00 p.m. and is conducted by Dr. Aimee Beckmann-Collier, Director of Choral Studies and Professor of Condcuting.  less

The Devonshires’ defense took place in a violent thunderstorm, when rain and hail fell in sheets to impede visibility. The line ‘Fetter and Faint for England’s neck, Faggot and Father, Saint and chain’ graphically talks about what would have happened if the faggot (a bundle of sticks) had burned the English because the Spanish thought of them as heretics. Fed up of boring lifeless Choirs that sing traditional Music, Bobby wanted to create a Choir format that is fun, exciting, and most important - easily accesible to everyone. We started with a Swansea Choir, and quickly expanded to opening a branch in Llanelli. New to 2015 is our branch in Cardiff and Bristol starting in September.
