BCS is a friendly local choral society that has come to be know as the 'town's own choir'. It performs sacred and secular MUSIC in various venues including Brentwood Cathedral.

The "Ladies of Melody Choir" was founded in the city of Tartus in November 2022 by Maestro Bishr Issa, a graduate of the HIGHer Institute of MUSIC and a MUSICian in the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra. He was also the former conductor of the "Chamber Choir of the HIGH Institute of MUSIC" in Damascus, and the conductor of the "Urjwan Choirs" in Tartous. The main goal of establishing the "Ladies of Melody Choir" was to HIGHlight the role of Arab women in the cultural and MUSICal scene, introduce the culture of choral and collective singing in its contemporary concept to the local artistic culture, and revive the authentic MUSICal heritage of the Levant and the Arab world, which has begun to disappear and decline in the face of superficiality and degradation dominating the general Arab artistic scene. During the tenure...  moreThe ROYAL COLLEGE CHOIR, which traces its origins back to St. Paul’s Church, Wolvendhal where Royal College itself was formed in 1835 It was made part of the Western MUSIC Society of Royal College with its formation in the year 1919. During the tenure of Principal Major Harry L. Reed the Choir won the prestigious R. Meaden Shield(Senior) for Singing for 10 successive years from 1920 to 1931, once with a perfect score of 200/200. The College Anthem ‘School of our Fathers’, composed by Principal Reed made its debut at this competition on the 13th day of July, 1928 and to this day takes responsibility of preserving the College Anthem. The Choir was trained by Mrs. Reed with the support of Robert C. Edwards, Esq. The Choir today continues to sing at many major events in and out of College, the most significant out of which being the Annual Carol Service. It is currently trained by the eminent Ms. Sureka Amerasinghe.  less

The Virginia Wesleyan Singers are an open-enrollment ensemble of 30-50 singers from all majors at Virginia Wesleyan College. No audition is required, and singers perform a variety of MUSIC in all styles while developing vocal technique and MUSICianship skills.
