Through unique programming and exceptional musicianship, Quintessence strives to provide the Albuquerque area with multiple opportunities to hear Choral music delivered with professionalism and a dose quirkiness.

We are an auditioned chamber choir of 30-40 members who love sharing the joy of Choral singing with each other and our community. Our regular season consists of at least 4 concerts featuring a variety of Musical genres and styles. Because we seek to create meaningful Musical experiences, we value interaction and education in our performances. Our audience members often tell us how much they love learning about the music from our director’s comments, which help them more fully enter into the music and enjoy it.  less

We are based in Chicago's western suburbs. ECU performs two major concerts each season with full professional orchestra musicians and pro soloists, and also a mini-concert of our singers in solos and duets with piano. We often appear as featured guest artists with Elmhurst Symphony and in local appearances. Our outstanding volunteer singers come from throughout the Chicago area for a unique Musical experience. Our conductor James MacDonald has directed choirs and orchestras throughout the U.S. and overseas, and teaches conducting and music theory. Choristers are committed to creating a unified ensemble sound, dedicated to bringing the Choral arts into the community, and engaged in improving their vocal skills under the expert leadership of Artistic Director Mervin William Fick.

Come experience the joy of Latin American music through Choral singing! Amazonia Vocal Ensemble was founded in 2007 by Dr. Cristian Grases, and debuted on Nov. 30 of that year at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Miami. The ensemble rehearses weekly and is comprised of volunteer musicians, both professional and amateur. The ensemble has performed throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties, as well in Naples in 2009 & 2012, Puerto Rico in 2010, and most recently in Washington DC in 2015. The repertoire performed by Amazonia Vocal Ensemble is typically in Spanish but also in other American languages and original dialects such us Portuguese (Brazil), Papiamento (Aruba-Curazao), Quechua (Perú) and Chiquitano (Bolivia) among others.  less
