The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, Popular Songs from the 1930s to today, as well as classic barbershop arrangements. There are strong links to musical theatre in that most Songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a Song work.
We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. We are always on the look out for enthusiastic and talented women so if you're interested in joining, do drop a line to hello@londoncitysingers.co.uk for details. less

My English version here is a singing translation, so feel free to sing along in English :-)
Guillaume prends ton tambourin
Toi, prends ta flûte, Robin;
Au son de ces instruments
"Turelurelu, patapatapan"
Au son de ces instruments
Je dirai Noel gaîment.
Willie take your little drum
With your flute oh Robin come
With the sound of flute and drum
tootle tootle toot, bing a bang a boom
with the flute and with the drum
I will say Nowell with joy.
C'était la mode autrefois
De louer le Roi des rois
Au son de ces instruments
"Turelurelu, patapatapan"
Au son de ces instruments
Il nous en faut faire autant.
In the goodly olden days
The king of kings we'd praise
with the drum and with the flute
tootle tootle toot, bing a bang a boom,
with the flute and with the drum
we should do alike just so less

Otniel does not only combine the three Songs in the order of the first, second and third Songs. In a certain part, namely at the end of the Song, he combines the three Songs to be sung simultaneously with the accompaniment of applause and Christmas bells. This Song has a unique dynamic, in which Otniel wants the choir singing it to invite the entire audience to sing along and the singers must help convince the audience that the joy of Christmas is with them. In this arrangement, the singers should show an attitude that encourages the audience to dance and sing, and there are times when the singers tell stories about the atmosphere of Christmas.

PG Carnivalesque" under the patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of Popular pop music hits. During the performance we heard choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and Songs from the musical West Side Story that graced the walls of the Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations.
Jazz musicians performed along with the choir, and the musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement.
The more-than-hour-long performance by the Academic Choir of the Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation. less

Song WITHOUT BORDERS - World premiere
For the meeting of three children's and youth choirs.
The first of the three verses is sung in German, the second in Korean, the last in English - so each choir has to learn to pronounce the language of the other, an adventure! With simple, poetic words, "Song without borders" deals with the chance of children to create a future worth living for the adults of tomorrow through mobility, empathy and energy. The music to it illustrates in the first verse the sea as a metaphor of eternal movement, in the second the feeling together, in the third the positive action of holding together. less
