Die fließenden Rhythmen in Christina Georgina Rossettis Gedicht führen wie von selbst zu einer melodischen Vertonung. Die Sopran- und Tenorstimmen wechseln sich ab, indem sie jeweils die Melodie der Strophen 1 bzw. 2 singen, während die anderen Stimmen beschwingt und jazzig begleiten. Ein Tonartwechsel am Beginn der dritten Strophe, zusammen mit kanonischen Einsätzen in den Oberstimmen, steigert die Energie des Stückes zu neuen Höhen, das seine Krönung in einer sehr jazzigen Schlusskadenz findet. ______________________ http://www.helblingchoral.com/?pagename=product&product=C7677 The choral piece Birthday was composed in 2014 for Auckland-based a cappella group “Laudamus”. Dozan wa Awtar Singers received two Gold Diplomas for its participation in the 8th World Choir Games held in Riga, Latvia this year. The Games included twenty seven thousand singers from four hundred choirs representing seventy three countries. Dozan wa A...  moreDozan wa Awtar Singers received two Gold Diplomas for its participation in the 8th World Choir Games held in Riga, Latvia this year. The Games included twenty seven thousand singers from four hundred choirs representing seventy three countries. Dozan wa Awtar, under the leadership of its Founder and Director Shireen Abu Khader, competed in two categories: Scenic Folklore and Mixed Choirs; singing Arabic songs in both and receiving a Gold Diploma in each category. This is the first time Jordan is represented in an international choral competition. On this occasion, Shireen Abu Khader expressed her immense pride at this accomplishment and international recognition and commended the continuous efforts of the singers which led to this achievement. She also thanked all those who have given both financial and moral support to the choir, as this could not have been achieved without their help.
