Our vision is to bring 'the joy of singing' .....and we see that on the faces of the people we engage with from all walks of life. We also put on a couple of variety concerts each year raising funds for various needy causes.  

The Utrecht Byzantine Choir sings in the dutch Friezenkerk in Rome Het Utrechts Byzantijns koor olv Grigori Sergei Sarolea brengt een groet vanuit de Kerk der Friezen in Rome. Het Alpha College uit Groningen was erbij.

New members are always welcome. No auditions required though our director may ask you to sing to verify your placement in the correct voice range. See the Bulletin Board for details. GGCC generally performs at least two concerts per year, a Winter/Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert.  

This song is from a French musicals called Starmania. This live performance was recorded on the 24th of May, 2024. This is a youth choir with children from 10 to 15.

The video is based on a caricature of me as a choirboy. This is an improved version using that video but following the words more clearly and also including the words on screen. The choir sings the 12 days of Christmas but it all goes horribly (or hilariously) wrong.  

Chorale Bel Canto was founded in 1982 by a group of Whittier College Choir Alumni who wished to continue singing after graduating. Director of Choral Activities Stephen Gothold, himself an alumnus, organized the recruiting efforts and the Chorale made its debut performance on Saturday, December 4, 1982 at the Whittier Presbyterian Church - a complete performance of Handel’s Messiah. Since then, the Chorale has sung over one hundred thirty concert programs in the Southern California area. The Chorale performed in Japan in 1994 and at the Hollywood Bowl in 1995 as it joined together with 1,000 singers from America and Japan to sing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. In 2001, members of the Chorale -- along with Whittier College students, alumni, and members of the Imperial Valley Choral Society -- toured Eastern Europe and performed selections of American hymns, spirituals, and sacred songs. Chorale members have also participated in the Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria, a tour of Eastern Europe singing ...    less
