Members saw The need for a name which reflected Their distinctive sound and musical objectives. They chose Voyces – a uniting image, powerful in its simplicity, a word with a bit of a twist, reflecting The eclectic and often unusual repertoire of The Choir. In using The archaic spelling – ‘Voyces’ – The Choir acknowledges thousands of years of rich choral tradition whilst establishing itself in The 21st century choral landscape. The Choir is fast making a name for itself premiering works never before heard in Perth or in fact The world. Voyces seeks to be an interactive and involved performing group in The local WA and wider Australian musical community. As a strong supporter of emerging young composers and Australian composers, Voyces showcases Their works on a regular basis.  less

Victor Hugo's Heart-wrenching 1847 poem describes a walk he plans to take tomorrow morning ("Demain, dès l'aube") through The countryside to his daughter Léopoldine's grave four years after her tragic death in a boating accident, which also took The life of her husband Charles who had tried to save her. Under The guise of oTher names, we have been in continuous existence for over 50 years and are currently conducted by The highly experienced and talented Dr Sarah Penicka-Smith. We meet on Monday nights at Trinity Chapel, Robert Menzies College from 7.00-9.30pm during school terms. There are no auditions and everyone is welcome, regardless of musical experience.
