Coro Et Al Festival 2016

On Saturday 22nd March the CHOIR gave a concert at Westbury on Trym Baptist Church. A select audience were given a well thought out programme including this piece, The Sound of Silence.

Cunninghame CHOIR is an amateur CHOIR based at Beith Community Centre, N. Ayrshire. We perform 2 concerts a year and cover a wide range of choral genres.

Suomen Laulu ("Song of Finland") is one of the oldest mixed CHOIRs in Finland. Founded as a MALE CHOIR in 1900, it became a mixed CHOIR in 1907. The CHOIR was conducted for more than four decades by its founder, the renowned CHOIR conductor and ...  moreSuomen Laulu ("Song of Finland") is one of the oldest mixed CHOIRs in Finland. Founded as a MALE CHOIR in 1900, it became a mixed CHOIR in 1907. The CHOIR was conducted for more than four decades by its founder, the renowned CHOIR conductor and composer Heikki Klemetti. The current artistic director, Esko Kallio (b. 1974), has conducted Suomen Laulu since 2002. The CHOIR's repertoire consists both a cappella works and compositions works for CHOIR and orchestra. Since 1921 the CHOIR has maintained the tradition of performing the St. Matthew Passion by J.S.Bach every Maundy Thursday in St. John's Church in Helsinki. Suomen Laulu has made five recordings, the most recent of which was published to celebrate CHOIR's centenary in 2000. The CHOIR also has its own series of publications, the "Suomen Laulun ohjelmistoa", which contains several of the finest pieces of Finnish choral music.  less

Huddersfield Piazza on Saturday 12/5/12 @ 11am - A group of singers from the Gledholt MALE Voice CHOIR, Marsh Ladies CHOIR and other CHOIRs from as far a field as Cheshire and Harrogate plus a few willing Hollybank trust staff surprised the onlooking sho...  moreHuddersfield Piazza on Saturday 12/5/12 @ 11am - A group of singers from the Gledholt MALE Voice CHOIR, Marsh Ladies CHOIR and other CHOIRs from as far a field as Cheshire and Harrogate plus a few willing Hollybank trust staff surprised the onlooking shoppers by performing an impromptu performance of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. The rousing performance was part of Gledholt MVC's Gala day which included performances from Elvis, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Pipe Band and also a Zumba class. There was also a concert in Huddersfield town hall in the evening.
