This 30-strong male choir aspires to the celebrated male choral tradition and delights in exploring its infinite artistic depth. Under the leadership of Meng-Hsien Peng as conductor and artistic director since 2013, the choir has achieved prestige as One of the country’s foremost choral groups. Throughout its seventeen years of existence, the Müller Chamber Choir has time and time again participated in international choral events to expand its artistic vision. In 2007, led by maestro Julian Ching-Chun Su, the choir participated in the 23rd Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Contest in Japan and took home a gold medal in the Folklore category and a silver medal in the Romantic category, placing second in the overall ranking. Its repertoire is varied and loosely “classical”, focusing on sacred and secular music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. We rehearse Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30. This is an auditiOned group with considerable musical and choral experience, One that aspires to a higher standard of performance. Our members include amateur and professional musicians, choir directors and music educators. Prospective members may audition from time to time as positions come open. Contact the choir if you have an interest in joining. We perform mostly a cappella pieces, but many of our concerts include accompaniment by members of the Nanaimo Chamber Orchestra and organ.  One';">less
