The Manchester Bach Choir welcomes everyone, who enjoys singing. We perform to a high Standard and have a friendly but hardworking atmosphere. No audition required but some previous experiece, past or present, and The ability to read music can be very helpful.
At present we are keen to recruit new members to all sections SATB and are particularly keen to enroll new bass singers. If you are interested in joining The choir or just want to find out a bit more about us, why not contact us?

Eaton, RES has played a leading role in Edm... moreRES is dedicated to The enjoyment, study and performance of great choral music, to an international Standard of excellence, and to fostering The appreciation of this music. Founded in 1951 by The late Richard S. Eaton, RES has played a leading role in Edmonton’s cultural community for more than six decades. In addition to presenting its own concerts, The choir is a regular guest of The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and collaborates frequently with oTher Edmonton Ensembles, including The Alberta Baroque Ensemble in this performance. It has also collaborated with oTher Canadian choirs in The past, including The Calgary Philharmonic Chorus, The Vancouver Bach Choir and The Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir. This past summer RES embarked on a two week tour of Germany, highlighted by performances at The St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, where Bach was Kapellmeister for much of his career. less

Historical, social and environmental contexts of music, and The influence of These on performance, will be central to rehearsals and concerts. They will define The Themes of our repertoire each year.
COLLABORATION
Based in Leeds, The choir has numerous opportunities to collaborate with oTher Ensembles, composers and charities to promote and support musicians throughout The North. We hope to work with a variety of musicians to develop quality and future collaboration within The choir.
COMMUNICATION
No music?! Yes, we will perform without sheet music in concerts. In doing this, we intend to submerse ourselves, and audience in The context of The music. This will enable The choir to fully communicate Their interpretations of The ... less
