The rehearsals include popular songs, music from the shows, and many more styles, and will help with learning to read music as well as learning to sing in new and different languages. We gather members from all areas of Hertfordshire so whether you are in Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth, Welwyn, Ware etc you are welcome to come along. Subscription costs are set low at £2 per week which covers heating, rehearsal space and other fees. We uphold the tradition and art of male choral singing through the camaraderie of choral membership and in entertaining our audiences. We give our own concerts several times a year in Norwich and beyond, as well as appear at events by invitation. We were Special Guests of 'The People's Soprano' Rebecca Newman at her 2012 and Spring 2016 tour Norwich appearances and we put up a team to challenge the Eggheads for quiz supremacy! We also hold Open Rehearsals at the beginning of each singing season when we invite adult gentlemen to see whether male choral singing is for them, or just to see our singing men at work! We sing Original compositions by Juliet Russell who conducts the Choir and is also our solo performer. Aside from Juliet's original material we sing a mix of traditional Gospel, African and Eastern European Music. The Choir consists of male and female singers of all ages who simply love to sing.
