VOICES UNBOUND: A Cantus Virtual Choir Project
This is a 2-month holistic music workshop that will gear us to continue our journey to grow as musicians & individuals in these trying times, while we connect and bond with our fellow choristers and conductors.
We are convinced that this pandemic must not hinder us to make music, inspire people, and learn from distinguished guests.

"High Flight"
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the Skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air . . .
Up, up the long, delirious burning Blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Summit High School offer. They have been auditioned and selected from a program of 250
singers and identified as the cream of the crop based on their beauty of vocal tone, musical
intelligence, sight reading ability and academic achievement. They are also instrumentalists,
actors, athletes, student leaders and ambassadors of LSHS. Most importantly, they are
students who are DEDICATED to being the best they can be.
As a result of these high standards, Sounds of Summit has developed a reputation in Lee’s
Summit and around the nation as one of the elite high school level performing ensembles.
We are frequently asked to perform with UMKC’s Conservatory, as well as multiple appearances
