The St. Cecilia Girl's choir is a choral ensemble for girls in grades 5 through young adult in residence at The Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew in Wilmington, Delaware

choir members are based all over the United Kingdom, and we come together only when we rehearse and sing at a Cathedral city. We do not belong to any particular geographical area or Church denomination. In over 25 years, nearly 400 people from all backgrounds have sung with us - often for the first time in an English Cathedral. The number continues to grow year by year. Martin Hall, our founder, became 'Director Emeritus' in Autumn 2006 and Matthew O' Donovan took over the post of Director in his stead. Because of the way we meet, we don't require formal auditions in advance, but new singers are expected to be excellent sight readers and to have a good choral tone.  less

Open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 13, the choir rehearses on Tuesdays between 5.15 and 6.30 at St Peter's Church, Fulham. Children learn to sing together, about vocal development and musicianship, and most importantly have fun! The choir will give regular performances in and around Fulham. Fondly referred to as POWERHOUSE, the choir was formed in 1986 for a Church building fund program. In 1988 the choir was officially founded and directed under the leadership of Shawn Cotterell. With thirty-five voices and a multi-talented band, the choir’s repertoire ranges from hip-hop, reggae, traditional and contemporary gospel. The director and founder of this anointed choir is Shawn Cotterell. Shawn Cotterell’s first musical experience began at the age of seven singing in a Church choir. By the age of twelve, Shawn answered the call of God on his life and began organizing the Powerhouse Fellowship Soul choir. The choir has over 50 members and fulfills about 20 engagements a year performing for a range of societies from small groups, Churches to national bodies, and has toured extensively, in the U.K., Ireland, Europe and U.S.A. including a number of choir exchange visits.

We have organised series of concerts and being nominated thrice in Chorale Easter concerts of the year.The choir is base in North Suntreso in Kumasi.  

Although we are a mostly volunteer Church choir with limited rehearsal time, we do our best to work toward excellence in all that we do. "Excellence in all things, and all things to the GLORY OF GOD."
