Rhythmic and thought-provoking. This is a work of medium difficulty, appropriate for high school, collegiate and community choirs. All of them are former members of the “Dresdner Kreuzchor” (Choir of the Church of the Holy Cross Dresden) or the “Thomanerchor Leipzig” (St. Thomas Choir Leipzig), two of the most famous boy's choirs in Germany. the singers have set themselves the target to present their listeners a wide musical spectrum. their repertoire consists of vocal music from Renaissance and Baroque to Romanticism to the 20th and 21st century. Important elements are works of Jacobus Gallus, Michael Praetorius, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Francis Poulenc and Rudolf Mauersberger. In addition they also perform with popular music. Music of the “Comedian Harmonists”, “the Beatles”, Billy Joel or the German group “Wise Guys” are also an essential part of their repertoire. Our new Musical Director, Julian Collings joined the choir beginning of 2019. Over the last few years the choir has enjoyed a growing reputation for its repertoire of outstanding contemporary music alongside the established classics. TCS latest performances included the Creation of Haydn, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mass in Blue of Todd, Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle. the Choir also perform a Christmas Concert every year. Overall we perform three main concerts a year. During its performances TCS enjoys the participation of professional soloists and orchestras and ensembles. Phil Culling is our accompanist. With past successes and imaginative programming, TCS is thriving. We are always glad to welcome new singers, regardless of age; especiallly those who enjoy their music making. We like to rehearse and perform with our sense of humour switched on.  less

It is supported by a smaller, auditioning Fulham Camerata Ensemble which is made up of professional and semi-professional singers, allowing the main Camerata to tackle exciting repertoire and maintain high musical standards while fostering the careers of young professionals. the choir also offers choral scholarships to promising young soloists which provides vocal support for the amateur choir, and fosters career development for the scholars. the amateur and ensemble groups come together for at least three main concerts a year with additional Christmas concerts, sometimes with orchestra. the amateur choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 – 9.30pm  less
