Conductor: Ole Faurschou Performance at Lund Sacred Contemporary Music Festival 2018 in Allhelgonakyrkan in Lund. More info and score can be found on www.stefanklaverdal.com “See, darkness covers the Earth” is built on a previous piece for bass clarinet (or cello) and computer called "One of the seven angels". The title is a quote from book of revelations, and "See darkness..." is in its turn a series of other quotes that the first title refer to in various ways. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (Revelation 21) Sung at Canterbury Cathedral during our Royal School of Church Music Summer Course in 1986, under Martin How. I (David W Solomons) was One of the altos. John Huntley - a fellow alto - recorded this performance. One';">less
