Alone in The night on a dark hill
with pines around me, spicy and still
And heaven, a heaven full of stars over my head
white and topaz and misty red
myriads with beating hearts of fire
The aeons cannot vex or tire...
Ah, The dome of heaven like a great hill
and myriads with beating hearts of fire
Heaven full of stars...
I know I am honored to be witness of so much majesty...

Lo, how a rose e'er blooming from tender stem hath sprung
Of Jesse's lineage coming, as those of old have sung
It came, a floweret bright, amid The cold of winter
When half spent was The night
Isaiah twas foretold it, The rose I have in mind;
With Mary we behold it, The virgin moTher kind.
To show God's love aright, she bore to us a savior
When half spent was The night.
this flower, whose fragrance tender with sweetness fills The air,
Dispels with glorious splendor, The darkness everywhere;
True man, yet very God, from sin and death he saves us,
And lightens every load.

O Danny Boy, The pipes, The pipes are calling
from glen to glen and down hte mountainside
The summer's gone and all The roses falling
it's you, it's you must go and I must bide
But come ye back when summer's in The meadow
or when The valley's hushed and white with snow
it's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
O Danny Boy, O Danny Boy, I love you so
But when ye come and all The flowers are dying
if I am dead, as dead I well may be
ye'll come and find The place where I am lying
and kneel and say an "ave" there for me
and I shall hear, though soft you tread above me
and all my grave will warmer, sweeter be
for you will bend and tell me that you love me
and I shall sleep in peace until you come to me
