I Numeri Primi sono la conseguenza naturale di un' esigenza ormai matura de i giovani salernitani di lavorare in un contesto finalmente solido e professionale, dove sviluppare il proprio talento al servizio della musica e più in particolare della musica a cappella. Un impegno notevole, una grande serietà nello studio e una dedizione certosina caratterizzano l' Orchestra vocale Numeri Primi sia durante il lavoro nelle prove d' insieme e/o di corda, che in quello individuale a casa.  less

Much of the music we sing is arranged in the barbershop style. Along with entertaining our local audience KCC competes in the Mid Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society and is a consistent champion in our Division. KCC also promotes quartet singing as well as a cappella singing among the youth in our region. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7pm and are always open for visitors so feel free to visit to find out more and to see if our group is right for you.  less

We do a wide variety of music from Renaissance to contemporary and from a cappella to works with chamber orchestra. We are a fun loving, very friendly group. However, our music comes first and hard work is required of all. An audition is required. Our Music Director is William R. Thomas.

All performances are from memory, delivering carefully-structured, semi-choreographed programmes. Repertoire encompasses jazz, show tunes and folk songs as well as opera and the classical repertoire. Members include fellows and alumnae of Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, as well as singers drawn from the wider community.

Music read...  moreThe Middle Community Chorus is a professional-level volunteer choir that sings mostly gospel music, but also music of all genres accompanied by a 4-piece band. It provides the music for Middle Collegiate Church's Art & Soul worship at 6 PM. Music reading is very helpful, but not as important as good intonation and a keen ear for gospel music. The only rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons at 4:30, for the 6:00 PM worship (start date 9/7) so it is essential that singers must be able to work on music outside of rehearsal that will be distributed several days in advance. Middle Collegiate Church is located in the East Village at 2nd Avenue and 7th Street.  less

The group named DEKOR Chamber Choir is composed of experienced choral singers from various parts of Slovenia, who in the past used to sing in renowned Slovene and some foreign vocal ensembles. Driven by the desire of thorough preparation of quality choral projects, the choir works under the leadership of Slovene and foreign guest conductors. The choir prepared their inaugural concert, entitled In the Beginning, in cooperation with young Finnish conductor Dani Juris The topic of creation coincided not only with the central composition of the concert, Copland’s In the Beginning, but also with the choir’s first public appearance and presentation of the concept of their work. Among the carefully selected works by Slovene and other authors, three were performed in Slovenia for the first time: Aaron Copland’s In the Beginning, Cyrillus Kreek’s Onnis on inimene (Blessed be the Man) and Ole Gjeilo’s Unicornis captivatur (Captured Unicorn).
