This is a fun group of youngsters that love to sing and perform. We tackle all kinds of music and sing at local venues as well as 'The Lowry' and other high profile venues around the area. Founded in 1977, the Choir has gained a well-deserved reputation for performing neglected and unfamiliar music as well as better known and popular pieces, both sacred and secular. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend three rehearsals before an informal voice appraisal.

Celebrating world music and arts Promoting multi-cultural awareness Supporting children's health and education projects in The Gambia, West Africa As well as hosting an annual World Musicand Arts Festival and the Choir we also run a weekly West African Drumming workshop. Both groups enjoy performing at our own and other local community events and festivals.

Our "soiree choralis" is another enjoyable event that we host. This is an ideal fundraiser for a church or other organisation.

The Choir was directed by highly regarded Croatian musicians Mladen Jagušt, Duško Prašelj, Lovro Županović, Adalbert Marković, Dinko Fio, Vladimir Kranjčević, and Saša Britvić. Since the beginning of 2003 the Choir's artistic director is Luka Vukšić. The director's assistant is Veton Marevci. The Choir's performances have been conducted by Croatia's and world's most eminent musicians, such as Lovro von Matačić, Milan Horvat, Zubin Mehta, Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Krzysztof Penderecki, Lorin Maazel, Ennio Morricone, Noam Sheriff, Gerd Albrecht, Kazushi Ono, Alun Francis, Hans Graf, Kurt Masur, Dmitrij Kitajenko, Valerij Gergijev, and Sir Neville Marriner.
