We typically begin the class by Integrating body, mind and soul through stretches, breathing and movement so that we are totally relaxed and ready to sing and play ! We are a small English speaking pop choir with a large variety of mostly European nationalities right in the center of Brussels. We rehearse every Tuesday from 19:00 til 21:00 in the Atelier Marcel Hastir, rue du Commerce 51, 1000 Brussels. We usually do two concerts per year and like to socialize as well. Please feel free to join us and give it a try. When you come to the Atelier Marcel Hastir, the door is usually open (if not call on below mentioned number) and our rehearsing room is on the second floor.  less

The consort specialises in bringing vibrancy to early music, as well as breathing life into newly commissioned pieces. Originating at the University of Cambridge, the consort attracted singers from the renowned choirs of St John's, Jesus, Trinity and King's Colleges. Now a professional Vocal ensemble, Platinum Consort boasts some of the best young singers in London. They have an affinity with the music of composer Richard Bates and recently premiered his Tenebrae Responsories. These, along with other music inspired by the Tenebrae tradition appear on Platinum's debut album, In The Dark which is released on Resonus Classics. Platinum also runs a Boys' Choir, which aims to be one of the best of its kind in the UK. Our program consists of 5 choirs; Chorale, Women's Ensemble, Concert Choir, Bella Voce and Chamber Singers. We also have C.A.P. (Contemporary A Cappella Project), Women's Octet, and the Innuendos. The last three are co-curricular and the last two are student directed.

Da tempo impegnato in attività concertistica e nello studio del repertorio corale sacro e profano a cappella e concertato, è stato invitato a numerosi Festival e Rassegne Nazionali ed Internazionali, con grandi riscontri di critica e pubblico. Dal 2015, ha realizzato, con l’Orchestra barocca S. Teresa dei Maschi, prime esecuzioni in puglia di grandi opere barocche storiche: Bach Johannes Passion, Oratori di Pasqua e Natale; Monteverdi Vespro della Beata Vergine. Importante l’impegno nella ricerca ed esecuzione di musica di autori pugliesi inedita: Fago Salmi e Magnificat; Nenna, Felis, Radesca villanelle e madrigali; Cafaro Responsori. Dallo stesso anno è nata la collaborazione con l’Etichetta discografica Toccata Classics di Londra per la registrazione di una collana di produzioni dedicate agli autori pugliesi.  less
