Musically, individual members can boast…
singing in St Mark’s, Venice; the Duomo, Florence; the Salzburg Festival; performing a vocal recital on a stairlift; recording jingles for local radio and being the first girl chorister to sing for a service in St Paul’s Cathedral, London.

Directed for more than ten years by Michael Bawtree, its repertoire spans the Renaissance to the pres... moreWith a current membership of around 30 singers, Glasgow Chamber choir was founded in 1994 and has developed into one of Scotland’s finest amateur Choirs. Directed for more than ten years by Michael Bawtree, its repertoire spans the Renaissance to the present day and has included the Scottish premieres of works by James Whitbourn, Hans Gál, Jan Dismas Zelenka, Richard Bush and Judith Bingham.
The choir performs regularly in Glasgow and central Scotland, and has toured to France, Holland and Sweden, where it has formed links with other Choirs.
Recent BBC radio engagements have included William Walton’s Henry V Suite with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Sunday Worship live and Bryan Burnett’s ‘Get it On’ show live on BBC Radio Scotland. The choir features regularly in Raymond Gubbay’s Christmas Festival in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. less
